Mental health struggles can affect anyone. This webinar is for all — employers, colleagues, and those facing challenges.

However, we can’t ignore the stark reality that suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 50, and nearly 75% of all suicides are men. While this session is open to all, we intend to explore why men are potentially less likely to seek help and what we can do to change that.

Led by Matt Keenan, founder of The Anxious Lad Mental Health Company, this session will provide advice for individuals struggling and guidance for employers on creating a supportive workplace. Inspired by his own journey with Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Matt aims to break the stigma around mental health and suicide prevention.

We’ll cover:

  • Challenging the stigma of mental health & suicide
  • Supporting mental health (advice for individuals & employers)
  • Guidance on how to start the conversation with your employer or employee
  • Recognising signs of mental health struggles and how to offer support
  • Steps for building an inclusive, mentally healthy workplace culture
  • Addressing the unique challenges of male mental health

No matter your gender or role, this webinar will equip you with the tools to support yourself and those around you. Join us as we open up the conversation and work towards a workplace where no one struggles alone.

Matt Keenan
Founder of The Anxious Lad Company

Matt Keenan’s journey to becoming a Mental Health Life Coach is one of resilience, transformation, and purpose. After battling with his own mental health—which nearly cost him his life — Matt discovered the power of proper diagnosis, effective treatment, and alternative approaches to healing. Initially misdiagnosed with depression, he endured years of ineffective medication before finding clarity through psychotherapy.

Determined to help others navigate their own struggles, Matt retrained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Hypnotherapy, and Strategic Life Coaching. He went on to establish The Anxious Lad Mental Health Company, a space dedicated to supporting individuals through one-to-one coaching, helping them break free from limiting beliefs, stress, and anxiety.

Beyond personal coaching, Matt is passionate about workplace mental health. His company delivers training and workshops to businesses, equipping teams with the tools to foster a healthier, more supportive work environment. Through his lived experience and professional expertise, Matt is on a mission to change the conversation around mental health and inspire others to unlock their full potential.
