Teaching Assistants wanted immediately!

We are currently looking for Learning Support/Teaching Assistants for a great college based in Maidstone.

We are experiencing a high demand for Learning Support Assistants, so you could be placed within days of applying!

The role – Teaching Assistants

Support Teaching, Learning and Behaviour in the College:

  • Engage in interventions both in and out of lessons to foster effective participation of students in the social, behaviour and academic processes of the College.
  • Work with the team to implement behaviour management strategies and develop relationships with students who may be vulnerable and have complex needs.
  • Liaise with other agencies to ensure that student needs are fully met.
  • Support the teacher in the delivery of engaging and successful lessons.

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • A basic understanding of Special Educational Needs and behaviour management.
  • Have a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs by ensuring delivery of the curriculum in a way that maximises children’s achievement and ability to develop
  • Experience in a similar role is valuable, but not essential.
