Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant (Level 1)
Location: Bedford

Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Teaching Assistant to support students in their learning, development, and well-being. Working under the guidance of teaching staff, you’ll help ensure all students feel included and safe in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with their educational, personal, and social needs.
• Assist with classroom activities, materials, and equipment.
• Promote positive behavior and inclusion for all students.
• Help with student progress records and Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Attend college visits, meetings, and training as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Essential:
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Understanding of young people’s needs in an educational setting.
• Previous experience working with young people (paid or voluntary).
• Basic IT skills or willingness to learn.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
• Desirable:
• NVQ Level 2 or Supporting Teaching and Learning Level 2.
• First aid training or willingness to train.
• Experience in an educational setting.
