Sports Assistant – Support Students with SEN in East London!

Are you passionate about sports and want to make a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Sports Assistant to join our team and help students reach their potential through physical activity and personalised support.

Based in Hackney, this rewarding role is perfect for someone with a sports background who is keen to make a positive impact on students’ wellbeing and development. You’ll work closely with SEN students, helping them build confidence, physical fitness, and social skills through tailored sports sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with SEN during sports and physical activities, encouraging participation and helping them develop motor skills.
• Assist in the classroom or during physical education (PE) lessons, ensuring students are fully engaged and supported.
• Help to create a safe and inclusive environment where students feel motivated and confident.
• Work alongside teachers and learning support teams to meet individual student needs.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff on how to further support their development.

What We’re Looking For:

• A background or keen interest in sports and physical activity.
• Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable.
• A patient, positive, and proactive attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
