Job Title: Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer
Location: Redhill
Contract Type: Full-time (37 hours/week)
Working Hours: 08:45 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £29,731

Are you passionate about supporting the wellbeing of young people and vulnerable adults? We are looking for a dedicated Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer to join our team in Redhill. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role:

As our Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer, you will be at the heart of our efforts to ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people and vulnerable adults. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns and providing advice to staff and stakeholders.
  • Working closely with external agencies to manage and resolve safeguarding cases effectively.
  • Promoting best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant safeguarding legislation and guidelines, particularly Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE).
  • Conducting risk assessments, developing support plans, and maintaining accurate safeguarding records.
  • Providing tailored support and guidance to individuals in need, creating a safe and nurturing environment.

About You:

We are seeking someone with a strong background in safeguarding and wellbeing, who is ready to step into a fast-paced role with urgency. The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience and professional qualifications in safeguarding, social work, education, or a related field.
  • A thorough understanding of legislation, regulations, and best practices related to safeguarding and wellbeing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, with an ability to build trust and rapport with young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including staff, students, and external agencies.
  • Expert knowledge of KCSiE and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in safeguarding.
