Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in East London is looking to recruit a Reviews Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Reviews Officer, you will be responsible for conducting detailed reviews of housing decisions to ensure compliance with Section 202 of the Housing Act. You will work to ensure that all decisions are fair, justified, and in line with current legislation, while providing clear communication and support to applicants throughout the review process.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Decision Reviews: Conduct thorough and impartial reviews of housing decisions in accordance with Section 202 of the Housing Act.
• Ensure all reviews and decisions comply with relevant housing legislation, policies, and best practices.
• Manage a caseload of review applications, maintaining detailed records and ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Provide clear explanations to applicants regarding review outcomes, ensuring they understand their rights and the review process.
• Prepare detailed review reports and documentation, presenting findings and recommendations clearly and accurately.
• Work closely with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders to gather necessary information and support the review process.
• Provide training and guidance to colleagues on the review process and relevant legislation.
• Identify areas for improvement in the review process and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
