Are you a Resettlement Housing Officer looking for work in Southwest London?

Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in Southwest London is looking to recruit a Resettlement Housing Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Resettlement Housing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals transitioning from homelessness to stable accommodation, providing tenancy management support, and leading initiatives to bring empty homes back into use.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Manage a caseload of clients transitioning from homelessness to stable accommodation, providing tenancy sustainment support, advice, and guidance. Conduct regular home visits to monitor tenancy conditions, address issues, and promote successful tenancy sustainment.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized resettlement plans, identifying goals, needs, and support requirements. Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower clients in their transition to independent living.
  • Lead and coordinate initiatives to bring empty homes back into use, including identifying vacant properties, negotiating with property owners, and overseeing refurbishment and renovation works. Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with local authorities, housing associations, support agencies, and community organizations to facilitate access to housing solutions and support services for clients. Collaborate with partners to develop innovative approaches to addressing homelessness and housing needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, support interventions, and project activities using the organization’s database systems. Prepare reports and analysis on resettlement outcomes, project progress, and performance indicators.
