Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and results-driven Programme Manager for Service Industries to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery and management of service industry-related programmes, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budget expectations. This role will involve coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the smooth execution of programmes in areas such as hospitality, retail, customer service, and other service-focused sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of service industry-related programmes, ensuring all objectives are met efficiently and within budget
- Collaborate with academic teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure that programmes meet the highest standards of quality and relevance
- Develop, implement, and manage programme schedules, resource allocation plans, and timelines
- Monitor and evaluate programme progress, resolving any issues or challenges that arise during implementation
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance for all programmes
- Manage programme budgets effectively, ensuring cost control and efficient resource utilisation
- Provide leadership and support to programme teams, promoting collaboration, clear communication, and the achievement of programme goals
- Identify opportunities for programme enhancement and continuous improvement based on feedback and performance reviews
- Contribute to the development of new programmes within the service industries sector, aligning with institutional objectives and industry trends
Key Requirements
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (such as Business, Hospitality, Retail, or Service Management)
- Proven experience in programme or project management, particularly within the service industries sector
- Strong leadership, organisational, and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think strategically in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing budgets, resources, and teams effectively
- A commitment to driving continuous improvement and adapting to the evolving needs of the service industries
Desirable Skills
- Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP)
- Experience in managing academic or vocational service industry programmes
- Familiarity with industry trends in hospitality, retail, customer service, and other service-related sectors
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and compliance requirements in educational settings
