An exciting opportunity has arisen within our successful Hair and Beauty curriculum area for a Programme Lead in Hairdressing and Barbering.

We are seeking candidates educated to at least Level 3 within the specialist area, with extensive experience in the Hairdressing industry as well as outstanding FE teaching and course management experience.

The successful candidate will be required to act as Programme Lead and teach a range of hairdressing and barbering courses across a range of levels, from level 1 to level 3, to be confident and have strong knowledge of the IQA process, in line with the College’s Quality Assurance process.

With proven leadership and administrative experience, you will be required to sustain and develop high quality teaching and learning in the area, with relevant experience in Further Education.

The successful candidate will:  

• Be fully teacher qualified to Level 5 or above, e.g. diploma in Education and Training, Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent.  
• Be qualified to level 2 or equivalent in English and maths e.g. GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above
• A relevant Degree or equivalent or level 3 qualification.
