Programme Lead in Engineering. Full Time. 37 Hours Per Week. Permanent.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Engineering Department for an experienced, highly motivated Programme Lead. Applicants are invited from an Engineering background within the field of mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, space engineering, maths or other related subjects.
Applicants would ideally be able to deliver a selection of Engineering subjects such as Analogue and Digital electronics, Electrical Principles, Circuit design and construction, fault finding and other related subjects, based on their specialism.
The successful applicant will teach across a range of full-time, part-time and possibly FE /HE programmes to students typically studying at level 1 to level 3, but potentially up to level 5 dependent on the applicant. We are looking for an individual with Engineering specialisms based on prior industrial/teaching experience.
The Programme Lead role will include working closely with the Programme Area Manager and teaching team, to manage and monitor courses, course data and to plan programmes to maximise resource, funding and learner outcomes. Responsible for a programme of learning, the Programme Lead will ensure learner progress is tracked and maintained on College IT systems, and retention and achievement levels are maintained and improved in line with college targets as well as the development and implementation of systems/processes and other improvements to support the management of learning.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering high quality teaching and learning within the FE sector, along with experience of developing course provision and knowledge of IV processes are essential together with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators.
