Policy Manager

As a Policy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development of creative, proportionate, and evidence-based policies, processes, and guidance that form the backbone of the policy program. Working collaboratively with various teams, both internal and external stakeholders, you will be at the forefront of executing our business plan and corporate strategy.

Salary: £45,000 – £58,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive robust, evidence-based policy proposals and positions.
  • Provide specialist analysis and advice on emerging policy issues.
  • Understand and integrate equality, diversity, and inclusion considerations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for policy implementation.
  • Present policy advice confidently at meetings and events.
  • Respond to complex inquiries, drafting high-quality written materials.
  • Ensure effective planning, workload management, and risk assessment.
  • Contribute to an inclusive and empowering work environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrable understanding of policy making in a complex environment.
  • Experience in drafting clear and concise documents for diverse audiences.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for presenting complex information.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Effective time management and prioritisation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and management skills fostering an inclusive work environment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Understanding of equality analyses and public consultations in policy development.
  • Knowledge of the system across the UK.
  • Creative problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in research and data analysis
  • Previous background in regulation
