Outreach Worker – Romanian Speaking!

• Pay: £13.50 + Holiday Pay
• Contract: 2-3 Months Temporary
• Location: Office in Westminster, with work spanning across London

Purpose of the Job: Support street outreach workers in delivering accessible services to Roma individuals sleeping rough in London. Help ensure assessments and support offered are relevant, and assist Roma individuals in engaging with services to address their rough sleeping situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake outreach work Monday-Friday (flexibility required to meet service user needs).
• Assist outreach workers in assessing the needs of Roma rough sleepers and provide support/accommodation options in collaboration with agencies.
• Advocate for Roma individuals regarding welfare rights, healthcare needs, and overall well-being.
• Promote awareness of the service and related issues within the community.
• Manage a caseload of clients, offering consistent guidance until they secure accommodation or appropriate support services.
• Participate in the evaluation and development of the Roma Mediation service.
• Resolve user complaints and conflicts effectively.
• Ensure timely case reviews, implement support plans, and maintain high-quality case notes on CHAIN and other database systems.
• Monitor and track clients, ensuring accurate records are maintained.

Specific Skills Required:

• In-depth understanding of Roma traditions and culture.
• Proficiency in Romanian and/or Romani language.
