Are you a Neighbourhood Housing Officer looking for work in South London?

Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in South London is looking to recruit a Neighbourhood Housing Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you will be responsible for managing a designated housing portfolio, delivering excellent customer service, and promoting community engagement and cohesion.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Provide comprehensive leasehold services to residents, including lease interpretation, service charge administration, major works consultation, and dispute resolution. Liaise with leaseholders and leasehold management companies to ensure compliance with lease terms and regulations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents within your designated neighbourhood, responding promptly to enquiries, requests, and complaints. Provide expert advice and support to residents on housing-related matters and signpost to relevant services as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external contractors to ensure that communal areas and estate facilities are well-maintained and meet quality standards. Coordinate repairs, maintenance works, and improvement projects to enhance the living environment for residents.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to promote community engagement, empowerment, and cohesion within your designated neighbourhood. Organize events, consultations, and activities to foster positive relationships and address local issues.
  • Build effective partnerships with local authorities, community organizations, and other stakeholders to address housing-related challenges and deliver joined-up services. Represent the organization at meetings, forums, and partnership groups as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of tenancy and leasehold services activities, resident interactions, and estate management activities. Prepare reports and analysis on performance indicators, trends, and outcomes.
