Job Title: Male Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)

Location: London

Contract Type: Full time

Salary: £28,810 (unqualified) – £30,810 (qualified) Per Annum

About Us:

Our Client is committed to providing essential support to those affected by domestic abuse. We are seeking a dedicated IDVA to join our team and help enhance safety and reduce harm for male victims.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies to support male victims and their supporters.
  • Provide front-line services to male victims of domestic abuse, prioritising based on risk.
  • Develop and maintain multi-agency links to ensure victim safety.
  • Act as a single point of contact and lead practitioner for male victims.
  • Manage a caseload, conduct risk assessments, and provide tailored support.
  • Offer crisis intervention, safety planning, advocacy, and practical support.
  • Assist victims in accessing relevant services and navigating the criminal justice system.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
  • Stay compliant with data protection, confidentiality, and organisational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional qualifications and experience.
  • Understanding of the legal framework related to domestic abuse.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency framework.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and best practices.
