Location: Hybrid – 2 days in London Office, 3 days working from home

Contract: 2-3 month temporary role

Salary: £16-20 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am-5pm

We are a specialist LGBTQ+ domestic abuse organisation dedicated to providing life-changing support and advocacy for LGBTQ+ survivors. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Triage Duty Worker to be the first point of contact for individuals seeking help. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in empowering survivors and ensuring they receive the right support when they need it most.


About the Role

As a Triage Duty Worker, you will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for survivors accessing our service, providing a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Conduct initial assessments of survivors’ needs and risks to determine the most appropriate support pathway.
  • Offer emotional support, information, and signposting to relevant services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records in line with organisational policies and data protection guidelines.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure timely and effective support for survivors.
  • Respond to emergency situations with sensitivity and professionalism.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working in a front-line support, triage, or crisis response role (ideally within the domestic abuse, LGBTQ+, or safeguarding sectors).
  • Understands the unique barriers and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ survivors of domestic abuse.
  • Has excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Can work calmly under pressure and respond effectively to crisis situations.
  • Is empathetic, non-judgemental, and committed to equality and inclusion.
  • Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Can work flexibly and adapt to the needs of the organisation and survivors.
