Pentagon Talent have partnered with a well-established law firm who is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its London based Finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a professional and collaborative environment, ensuring the smooth operation of client and office accounts in strict compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR’s). You will be reporting into the Cashiering Manager and being in the office 3 days a week. The London office is based in the City of London

Key Responsibilities for the Legal Cashier:

  • Processing and reconciling client and office account transactions in line with SAR and AML guidelines
  • Managing daily postings, sub-ledger reconciliations, and payments, including CHAPS, BACS, Faster Payments, and international transfers
  • Handling client residual balances, deposit bank accounts, and interest calculations
  • Processing staff expenses, supplier invoices, and professional disbursements
  • Assisting with SRA Accounts Rules audits and LLP audits
  • Contributing to cashiering projects aimed at improving processes and efficiency

The ideal Legal Cashier will have:

  • Previous experience in a legal or professional services finance environment
  • Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and VAT regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment
