A prestigious international law firm is looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join their accounts team in London on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Head Cashier, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the firm’s accounts operations in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing and banking Office and Client account cheques
- Processing Client to Office transfers and posting investment account interest
- Preparing daily bank reconciliations across multiple currencies
- Conducting monthly reconciliations of Investment and consolidated Client accounts
- Managing online banking for internal transfers and international supplier payments
- Handling petty cash, foreign currency ordering, and reconciliations
- Allocating Client and Office receipts and processing Client payments
- Supporting audit queries and performing daily checks for Office Credits, Unpaid Costs, and Negative Unbilled Soft Costs
- Providing holiday cover for the Cashiering team as needed
Required Skills and Attributes:
- Proven experience as a Legal Cashier, with a solid understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Strong working knowledge of Excel; familiarity with Aderant is advantageous
- Meticulous attention to detail and well-developed organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage workload priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills for building effective working relationships
