In this Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering role in Evesham, you will join our Further Education organisation.
The role of Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering is to support the College’s aims, objectives, and mission statement to provide quality education and training in response to local need. This role will also include development of our Engineering provision to support students into HE
Required to teach on City and Guilds and BTEC Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering courses, both theory and practical, at least to Level 3 (preferably to Level 5).
Delivery on mainstream provision to full time 16-18 and adult learners
Adhere to qualification requirements and tailor programmers to suit employer requirements
Responsible for the management and tracking of the student learning programme to include administering all paperwork related to tutor courses and groups, tracking documents monitoring targets, achieving, and maintaining group size targets and arranging additional support where required.
Carry out the required assessment which will include initial advice and guidance, initial assessment, referral for additional support, assign homework and provide timely feedback on the learning experience.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of student and course registers and ensure poor student attendance is addressed and targets set when required.
Must have the ability to use mechanical/manufacturing workshop equipment including lathes, millers, drillers, and bench tooling
Hold a Level 4 or 5 qualification in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (HNC, HND, FdEng), or have completed a Level 3 of higher time-served apprenticeship.
Have recent, relevant industrial/commercial experience in the Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering sector
