Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in West London is looking to recruit a Leasehold Capital Service Charge Team Manager to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Leasehold Capital Service Charge Team Manager to lead our Leasehold Team, specifically overseeing service charges related to major works and managing Section 20 notices. This is a critical leadership role where you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation, managing large-scale capital projects, and ensuring leaseholders are properly informed and billed for major works.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Lead and manage the Leasehold Service Charge team, overseeing service charge calculations and billing for major works.
• Manage the entire Section 20 consultation process in accordance with statutory requirements, ensuring leaseholders are consulted correctly on planned major works.
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing of service charges related to capital projects, ensuring transparency and compliance with lease agreements.
• Oversee the management and collection of service charges, handling queries and disputes from leaseholders related to major works and other associated charges.
• Collaborate closely with the Capital Works team, contractors, and other internal departments to ensure the effective delivery of major works programs.
• Provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring all staff are well-trained on service charge legislation, particularly around major works and Section 20 processes.
• Handle complex leaseholder queries and complaints, ensuring all concerns are addressed in a professional and timely manner.
• Prepare reports and present updates to senior management on the performance of the team, service charge collection, and project progress.
• Keep up to date with housing legislation and best practices related to leasehold management, ensuring all processes comply with legal standards.
