Learning Support Assistants

We are working with a college that support young people aged 16 and over to recruit a Learning Support Assistant. This college is a specialist provision for those with additional needs. The learners here have all been diagnosed with some form of SEN including Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and SEMH.

The successful Learning Support Assistant would be someone who has worked with people with additional needs, such as those from schools, care backgrounds, those with personal experience and other sectors that support those in needs.

The Learning Support Assistant role would involve:
* Supporting delivery of tasks with Teacher
* Nurturing and caring support of vulnerable people
* Providing a sense of calm and safety
* Working within traditional school hours, 08:30-16:00 approximately
* Working proactively to identify those who need support.

Those who apply for this role would be subject to standard vetting checks inclusive of two recent reference and obtaining/having a DBS on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
