Learning & Behaviour Mentor – West London

Full-Time (Monday to Friday) | Part-Time Options Available | Temporary Ongoing

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their learning and personal development? We are seeking a Learning & Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic school in West London on a temporary, ongoing basis. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on students’ academic progress and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students, helping them engage in learning and develop positive behaviour strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to create a nurturing and structured environment.
  • Assist students with managing emotions, building resilience, and improving social skills.
  • Deliver interventions to support behaviour management, emotional regulation, and academic progress.
  • Monitor and track student progress, implementing strategies to support their development.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive school environment where students feel supported and encouraged.
  • Act as a role model and mentor, promoting positive attitudes and self-confidence in students.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring role.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively.
  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, youth work, or a related field are desirable.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
