Interim Finance Assistant – Part time

Morgan Hunt are working with a College based in Derby who are looking at recruiting an Interim Finance Assistant.

This is up to a 6 week contract (potential to be extended)

Paying up to £14 p/hour (inc. holiday pay)

This is a part time role3 days p/week (Tues – Thurs), all days are on site at the college.

ASAP start.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:

  • Reconciliation of receipts to till records and credit card transactions.
  • Assisting in the reconciliation of tuition and examination fees to student records system.
  • Process General Ledger journal vouchers to record receipts
  • Post and allocate sales ledger receipts
  • Inputting and Processing Sales Ledger Invoices
  • Bank reconciliation duties
  • To provide support to Purchase Ledger as and when required.

Previous Skills and Experience of the Finance Assistant:

  • Experience working in the Education sector is preferred but not essential.
  • Credit Control/Sales Ledger and Cashier Functions
  • Debt Collection processes and procedures
  • Banking Processes
  • Financial Accounting Systems
  • Please note – an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required for this role, candidates without one can still apply but if successful will need to have one put into process.
