The HFEA is the UK’s independent regulator of clinics providing fertility treatment and research involving human embryos.
If you have a clinical / nursing background and experience of working in a senior role in the related discipline relevant to healthcare we are looking to recruit to join our team of inspectors for a nine month contract to cover maternity leave.
You will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of HFEA licensed centres. You will be able to work independently; to make professional judgements on the impact of non-compliance; to be resilient when managing difficult situations, and; be able to make proportionate and effective recommendations to promote compliance. You should be committed to promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will have worked in a senior role in a discipline relevant to healthcare. You should have experience of managing and prioritising a complex workload. You will be able to lead and work as part of a team with people from a range of disciplines. Experience of gathering, analysing and interpreting information and an ability to understand and apply complex legislation is key. You should have good IT skills; be a confident communicator and have excellent written skills.
This is a full-time (36 hours per week) 9-month contract. Our inspectors are predominantly home-based and frequently travel across the UK, including overnight stays away from home is a feature of this role. Flexible working arrangements will be considered. Secondments welcome. Our office is located in London, E20.
