Are you an Income Management Officer looking for work in North London?

Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in North London is looking to recruit an Income Management Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As an Income Management Officer, you will be responsible for optimizing income streams, increasing revenue, and maximizing financial resources to support our housing programs and services.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Develop and implement innovative income maximization strategies to increase revenue streams and financial resources, including rent income, service charges, and grant funding.
  • Conduct comprehensive benefits assessments for tenants and residents to ensure they are receiving all entitled benefits and allowances. Provide support and guidance on benefit entitlements, applications, and appeals processes.
  • Implement proactive debt recovery strategies to minimize rent arrears and maximize income collection. Work closely with tenants to negotiate repayment plans and provide support to address underlying financial difficulties.
  • Offer financial advice and support to tenants and residents to improve financial literacy, budgeting skills, and income management. Provide information on financial assistance programs, debt management, and savings initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and partner organizations to leverage resources, share best practices, and maximize income-generation opportunities. Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to enhance service provision and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of income management activities, arrears, and debt recovery efforts. Prepare regular reports and analysis on income performance, trends, and outcomes to inform decision-making and improve effectiveness.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite and relevant financial management software.
  • Have strong understanding of welfare benefits, housing legislation, and financial support systems.
