Morgan Hunt are working with an East London based Education Organisation who have an opportunity for a temporary HR Consultant (ER) on a contract basis. This role is paying £200 – £250 per day working in the office with a day working from home. This is a ER focused consultant role providing ER support and advice across the organisation on a temporary basis with a chance of extension.

Responsibilities of the HR Consultant (ER) include:

• Leading on ER Casework matters, working through investigations and meeting KPI’s within this, escalating to the HR Operations Manager as required
• Coach, train and develop management capability in ER processes
• Guide managers through procedures, and make suggestions for continuous improvement
• Proactively seek to resolve queries, conducting a level of research in the process as required – escalating or de-escalating the response as appropriate
• Support fostering an understanding of the roles within the HR team, whilst maintaining personal knowledge of the general procedures and functions completed by others
• Proactively advocate for the HR service
• Promote the benefits available to the employees – aim to provide a positive voice and share the great work happening in the organisation

Person Specification of the HR Consultant:

• Significant experience operating at a senior level within an HR Team in an Advisory capacity
• Demonstrated history in successfully handling complex ER Casework
• Experience of working in the FE sector in HR
• Working within a unionised environment
• CIPD Level 7 in HR Management (or equivalent)
• Chartered Member of CIPD or work evidence to demonstrate operating at this level and desire to attain this membership
• Advanced relationship building skills
• In depth understanding of Employment Law
• Detailed understanding of the operational workings of Further Education and linkages between different departments
