Are you a Housing Triage Officer looking for work in West Northamptonshire?

Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in West Northamptonshire, is looking to recruit a Housing Triage Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Housing Triage Officer, will have experience in providing homelessness prevention advice and assistance, helping individuals and families navigate housing challenges and secure stable accommodations.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Provide comprehensive advice and information on homelessness prevention, including tenancy rights, housing options, and support services.
  • Conduct initial assessments of clients seeking housing assistance to determine their needs and eligibility for services.
  • Gather relevant information from clients regarding their housing situation, income, and other factors affecting their housing stability.
  • Develop and implement personalized action plans to prevent homelessness, including mediation with landlords, accessing financial assistance, and connecting clients with support services.
  • Manage a caseload of clients, providing ongoing support and guidance to help them achieve housing stability.
  • Regularly review and update clients’ action plans, ensuring progress towards securing and maintaining housing.
  • Collaborate with other housing officers, social workers, and external agencies to coordinate support for clients.
  • Provide immediate assistance and crisis intervention for clients at risk of homelessness, including arranging emergency accommodations if necessary.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to secure housing and access essential services.
  • Prepare reports and provide data analysis on housing triage activities and outcomes to inform service improvements.
