Are you a Housing Options Officer looking for work in Slough?

Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in Slough is looking to recruit a Housing Options Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Housing Options Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Homelessness Reduction Act and Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996. You will play a crucial role in preventing homelessness and ensuring our clients have access to appropriate housing options and support.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Provide comprehensive housing advice and support to individuals and families at risk of homelessness.
  • Conduct detailed assessments under the Homelessness Reduction Act and Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
  • Develop and implement personalized housing plans, focusing on prevention and relief of homelessness.
  • Work closely with clients to explore all available housing options and secure suitable accommodations.
  • Liaise with landlords, housing providers, and external agencies to facilitate housing placements and support services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to secure appropriate housing solutions and address barriers to housing.
  • Monitor and review housing plans, making necessary adjustments to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Stay informed about changes in housing legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on the Homelessness Reduction Act and Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
