Are you a Housing Needs Officer looking for work in North London?

Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in North London is looking to recruit a Housing Needs Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Housing Needs Officer, you will work closely with individuals and families to provide support, advice, and solutions to prevent homelessness and secure stable housing.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Provide advice and support on housing options, benefits, and entitlements.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of housing needs for individuals and families at risk of homelessness.
  • Develop and implement personalized housing plans to prevent homelessness and secure long-term housing solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies, landlords, and support services to facilitate housing placements.
  • Manage a caseload of clients, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely interventions.
  • Conduct home visits and property inspections to assess suitability and address any issues.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to secure appropriate housing and support services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of housing plans and adjust as necessary.
  • Stay informed about housing legislation, policies, and best practices in homelessness prevention and relief.
