Are you a Housing Adviser looking for work in West London?

Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in West London is looking to recruit a Housing Adviser to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Housing Adviser, you will work directly with individuals and families at risk of homelessness, providing expert advice, support, and resources to help them maintain or find stable housing.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Provide comprehensive housing advice to clients, including guidance on their rights and responsibilities, housing applications, tenancy agreements, and housing benefits. Support clients in navigating the housing system and accessing relevant resources.
  • Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring accurate record-keeping and documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective homelessness prevention strategies, including early intervention, mediation, financial assistance, and tenancy sustainment support. Work with clients to identify risk factors and address them proactively.
  • Conduct detailed assessments to determine clients’ housing needs, risk of homelessness, and eligibility for assistance. Create individualized housing plans to meet clients’ specific needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, housing associations, local authorities, and community organizations to coordinate holistic support services for clients. Liaise with external stakeholders to access additional resources and support as needed.
  • Conduct outreach and educational activities to raise awareness about homelessness prevention, housing rights, and available support services. Work with community groups to promote housing stability and prevent homelessness.
