Morgan Hunt is collaborating with leading FE college in based in North London to recruit an experienced full time permanent Horticulture Apprenticeship Assessor.

In this role, you will be taking responsibility for the teaching and assessment of cohorts of horticulture apprentices studying at the college. The Horticulture Apprenticeship Assessor will follow and deliver the centre-based learning programmes and conduct workplace assessment visits across Greater London.

The Horticulture Assessor will be responsible for:

• Teaching and delivering engaging lessons with the prepared learning materials.
• Track and mark apprentice coursework using the college e-portfolio system for assessing and evaluating student progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Creating a supportive learning environment by Assisting apprentices in preparing individual action plans.
• Maintain records and statistical checks in relation to own teaching, including enrolment checks, attendance records and the like.
• Conduct reviews and assessments, assist in delivering apprenticeship-related Professional Short Courses, support practical End Point Assessments, and collaborate with academic staff and college managers on the Self-Assessment process.

The Horticulture Assessor will need to have:

• Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or a willingness to achieve within a specified period.
• Assessing qualification or willingness to achieve (support will be given to gain accreditation over a specified period.)
• Relevant industrial experience in the area concerned,
• Administrative skills including use of MS office suite.
