Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of Health & Social Care to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful candidate must be able to deliver high-quality teaching across a range of qualifications and levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach BTEC National in Health and Social Care (Level 3) and A-Level Psychology (AQA).
  • Potential to teach BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care (Level 1/2) and GCSE Psychology.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing support and intervention where necessary.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and ensure lessons align with exam board specifications.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching BTEC National in Health and Social Care (Level 3) and A-Level Psychology (AQA).
  • Additional experience in delivering BTEC Tech Award (Level 1/2) and GCSE Psychology is desirable.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • This role is not suitable for ECTs (NQTs).
  • DBS on the Update Service
