Floating Support Worker

Location: South London

Salary: 14.40-19.00/H

Hours: Mon-Fri 9-5

Assignment: 3 Months with Potential Extension

Join a leading homelessness charity as a Floating Support/Tenancy Management Worker. In this role, you’ll provide practical support to individuals to help them sustain tenancies and regain independence. You’ll work with clients to manage housing needs, resolve tenancy issues, and access essential services. We’re looking for someone with experience in tenancy management or floating support, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting vulnerable people. In order to apply for this vacancy you must have an an Enhanced adult DBS – Issued in the last 12 months or on Update Service!

Duties:

• Oversee a case load of 20-25 low to high needs clients
• Organising your week by booking appointments with each client
• Writing up the monthly and weekly reports using clear written communication
• Helping your clients with budgeting, advising around what they can afford and how to get the most out of their financial position
• Help each client obtain and maintain their tenancy, reporting any damages, help each client keep on top of their financial responsibilities
• Oversee and maintain a positive relationship between your client and their landlord
• Support clients emotionally
