Finance Officer
Morgan Hunt is working with an East London based College in search of a temporary Finance Officer, this a 3 month contract (temp to perm pssiblity) paying up to £17 p/hour (inc. holiday pay), and will be based in the office 5 days p/week.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Officer:

  • Day to day running of the purchase ledger including coding, registering, matching and filing of invoices. This is a high volume role with the average pace of approximately 100 invoices a day.
  • Setting-up new suppliers on the Finance system.
  • Support the Senior Accountant and the Finance Business Partner in the management of the managements accounts.
  • Ensure accurate financial data to enable production of accurate management accounts Report and Accounts.
  • Financial planning and month end process.
  • Assist in the processing of Purchase Orders and Supplier payments with the AP Officer.

Previous Skills and Experience of the Finance Officer:

  • Must have previously worked in a college environment.
  • Part / Fully Qualified AAT (or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
  • Experience of processing a high volume of invoices
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
  • Show a willingness to work hard
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS (can be processed during application)
  • Work collaboratively across the team
