Finance Manager

Morgan Hunt is working with a College in East London who are looking at recruiting a Finance Manager. This is a contract role paying up to £195 p/day and will be based full time in the office.

You will act as Junior Business Partner to the Divisions, providing numbers and expert advice at Divisional Review meetings and to Divisional Managers and to the Trust Executive Team as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and manage budgeting processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with statutory requirements.
• Develop financial models and forecasts for strategic planning.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash flow.
• Implement and maintain financial systems and supervise the finance team.
• Provide financial advice to senior management and support strategic initiatives.

Previous Skills and Experience:

• AAT / ACCA / ACA qualified or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of funding and financial management in the education sector.
• Previously worked in a college or within higher education is a must.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
