Role Purpose
We have partnered with a leading regulator for a Finance Business Partner for a 12 month FTC. The role will provide end-to-end finance business partnering to budget holders and senior management, delivering high-quality analysis to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilites
Business Partnering:
- Support budget holders by offering insights on financial performance, projections, and decision-making.
- Align financial decisions with strategic objectives, providing financial guidance to ensure informed planning.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior FBP on monthly accounts, forecasts, and budgets, producing clear and accurate financial reports.
- Foster financial awareness within Directorates, embedding finance in decision-making.
- Act as a finance consultant, building credible relationships and providing advice across departments.
- Deputise for the Senior FBP as needed.
Monthly Management Accounts:
- Lead monthly reviews with budget holders, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Deliver accurate monthly accounts and commentary to inform Executive Board decisions.
- Ensure ledger accuracy and timely posting of journals.
Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting:
- Collaborate on five-year budgets aligned with strategic goals, guiding budget holders through planning and forecasting.
- Lead relevant forecasting, ensuring alignment with organisational plans.
Project Accounting:
- Provide finance partnering to large projects, contributing expertise to ensure budget alignment.
Financial Systems and Statutory Accounts:
- Utilise financial systems for efficient data management and perform cost-benefit analysis.
- Ensure year-end management results align with statutory accounts and support audit queries.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/ACMA or QBE.
- Proven experience in management accounting, advanced Excel skills, and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.

- Strong planning, accuracy, communication, and organisational skills, with an ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.
