ESOL Teacher – Reading

Part-Time (29.6 hours/week | 0.80 FTE) | Permanent

Salary: £24,400 – £42,182 per annum (pro rata)

A college in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring ESOL Teacher to join its supportive and dedicated Lifeskills team. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine commitment to empowering learners from diverse backgrounds, including refugees, asylum seekers, and young people with additional needs.

About the Role:

You’ll be delivering engaging lessons on Adult and Foundation 16-19 ESOL courses, helping students improve their English language skills while building confidence and essential life skills. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that focuses on removing barriers to education and supporting learners to reach their potential.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A recognised ESOL qualification (CertTESOL, DipTESOL, CELTA, or DELTA)
  • Ideally, a PGCE or teaching degree-or a willingness to work towards a Level 5 Post Compulsory Education qualification
  • A flexible, inclusive approach to teaching, with strong communication and organisational skills
  • An openness to using technology and virtual learning tools
  • A commitment to supporting and inspiring students from a wide range of backgrounds
