ESOL Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated and organized ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Administrator to join our team in Walthamstow. This full-time position is a vital role within our organization, providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our ESOL programs. The ideal candidate will work closely with educators, students, and other stakeholders, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for learners from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Administration:
  • Manage and update student records, class schedules, and attendance logs.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of teaching materials and resources.
  • Coordinate room bookings and organize timetables for ESOL classes.
  1. Communication and Support:
  • Act as the first point of contact for ESOL-related inquiries from students, staff, and external partners.
  • Provide support to students in navigating administrative processes.
  • Liaise with teachers and other departments to ensure seamless delivery of courses.
  1. Data Management:
  • Maintain accurate databases, including registration, assessments, and funding reports.
  • Generate regular reports on program performance, enrollment trends, and student progress.
  1. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and funding guidelines for ESOL programs.
  • Support quality assurance processes, including student feedback and evaluations.
  1. Event Coordination:
  • Assist in organizing events, workshops, and open days to promote the ESOL program.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Background in ESOL
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Strong administrative experience, preferably in an educational or similar environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with ESOL or language programs.
  • Familiarity with funding guidelines and compliance for adult education programs.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
