Are you a passionate and skilled English Lecturer looking for an opportunity to inspire students in East London? Our vibrant Further Education and Training College is seeking a passionate English Lecturer to join their academic team. If you’re dedicated to fostering a love for literature, language and communication, we want to hear from you!

As an English Lecturer, you will be required to deliver engaging lessons in both GCSE and A-Level English, encouraging students to think critically, express themselves clearly and achieve their full potential.

Key Duties:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons, including both literature and language components.
• Create a positive and cohesive learning environment where students are motivated to learn.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to aid their academic development.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the English curriculum.
• Promote a culture of learning, ensuring students are prepared for exams and future academic or career success.
• Work with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Requirements:

• A UK-recognised teaching qualification (such as PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).
• A degree in English or a related field.
• Experience in teaching English at a further education and training level.
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE and A-Level English curriculum.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• An enhanced DBS check on the update service.
