Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-structured, inspiring lessons in English, covering areas such as literature, language, and composition.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods that engage students and promote their learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them improve.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and development, ensuring that the content meets the needs of the students and aligns with academic standards.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students, ensuring their well-being and success.

- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share resources.
- Participate in the college’s professional development programs and training initiatives.
Essential Criteria:
- A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching English at [A-level, GCSE, or equivalent] level.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students to develop their skills in English.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience teaching English in further education or secondary school settings.
- Up-to-date knowledge of developments in the English curriculum.
- Ability to teach other subjects related to English, such as Creative Writing or Media Studies.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
