Job Role: Electrical Installation Lecturer

Location: Southend-on-Sea, opportunities across Essex (Basildon, Southend, Thurrock)

Hourly Rate: Up to £50 per hour

Employment Type: Temporary, Full-Time/Part-Time

Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and qualified Electrical Installation Lecturer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with practical experience in electrical installation to share their expertise with students, delivering dynamic and engaging lessons across various campuses in Essex. The successful candidate will inspire and support learners in developing their technical skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for a successful career in the electrical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching in Electrical Installation at various levels (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3) in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Preparing and delivering lessons using a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assessing student progress, providing feedback, and supporting their development.
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to in the classroom and practical settings.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments and incorporating them into teaching.
  • Contributing to the wider college community and working collaboratively with colleagues.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or a related field.
  • Relevant industry experience in electrical installation.
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent) or a commitment to working towards one.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A passion for teaching and supporting students in their professional development.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience teaching electrical installation or similar subjects in a further education environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of electrical standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with the latest technology and teaching resources.
  • Ability to design and develop engaging and innovative lesson plans.
  • Experience working with a diverse student population and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
