Position: Director of Finance and Resources
Salary: £75,000 per annum
Location: Newport, Isle of Wight (Flexible/Hybrid working available)
Annual Leave: 35 days per annum, plus bank holidays
Pension Scheme: TPS/LGPS
Relocation Package: Available by individual agreement

About the Role:
Are you an experienced Head of Finance or Director of Finance with a strong background in Further Education (FE)? Are you ready to take the next step in your career and help shape the financial future of a dynamic educational institution? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are looking for a Director of Finance and Resources to lead the financial and resource management of our college. This senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to guide the college’s strategic direction, ensuring financial sustainability, effective use of resources and compliance with statutory regulations. You will play a key part in supporting our mission to provide high-quality education and a safe, efficient learning environment for staff and students.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience as a Head of Finance or Director of Finance within a Further Education setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a successful track record of overseeing finance and resources at a senior level.
  • In-depth knowledge of FE funding, financial management and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to strategically guide financial decisions while maintaining compliance with financial legislation and ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Membership of a recognised accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
