We’re looking for a subject specialist to lead the strategic development of the Directorate of Engineering Technology for a fantastic college in Birmingham.

Working in partnership with employers, you will be responsible for ensuring that the curriculum responds to local and regional economy needs. This role involves line management of 3 Area Managers, covering 16-19, Apprenticeships, AEB and HE provision.

Key Responsibilities:

• To lead IQA activities for the curriculum area, contributing to and monitoring the enhancement of teaching quality and ensuring that teaching delivery consistently reflects best practice.
• To ensure that the College’s learner voice strategy is effectively embedded within the curriculum area
• To design and develop bespoke provision in partnership with employers and key stakeholders

Key Requirements:

• A strong track record within a relevant curriculum area of leading and managing a team to deliver exceptional results
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and influence a diverse range of people
• Understanding of and practical experience of the Ofsted inspection framework
