Are you a creative and experienced Digital Media Lecturer with a passion for teaching? Our innovative Further Education and Training College in East London is looking for a dedicated Digital Media Lecturer to join their vibrant team. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and equip the next generation of digital media experts, guiding them through the exciting world of digital technologies, design and media production.

As a Digital Media Lecturer, you will be required to deliver high-quality lessons across a range of digital media subjects, including graphic design, web development, video production and more. You’ll help students develop the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the ever-evolving digital world.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in Digital Media, covering areas such as design, video production, multimedia and web development.
  • Design and develop teaching materials that engage students and encourage creativity and innovation.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, enhancing their development and academic success.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, ensuring each learner reaches their full potential.
  • Contribute to the wider digital media culture within the college and take part in extracurricular activities.
  • Work with colleagues to maintain high academic standards and develop the curriculum.

Requirements:

  • A UK-recognised teaching qualification (such as PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Digital Media, Multimedia or a related field (essential).
  • Experience in teaching Digital Media at a further education level (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of current trends and technologies in digital media.
  • Proficiency in relevant digital tools and software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro or similar.
  • A mandatory requirement for an enhanced DBS check on the update service.
