Morgan Hunt is currently working with a Government body in Central London in search of a Communications Advisor.

Role: Communications Advisor

Contract: temporary

Pay: Daily rate of £333 umbrella

Location: Hybrid – 3x days a week Central London offices

Key Responsibilities of the new Communications Advisor:

  • Organise and participate in external communications with the media, particularly CEO interviews with the press, handling liaison with press and media contacts.
  • Develop systematic processes for the management of internal and external stakeholder relationships, particularly the press and media.
  • Support a senior management review of the communications function within the company.
  • Prepare briefings on news items and matters relevant to the company’s debt and cash management mandates.

Previous experience of the new Communications Advisor :

  • Practical experience with managing highly time-critical and sensitive external communications particularly with press and media contacts.
  • Experience of working in a UK government departmental press office.
  • Practical experience of policy advisory work, ideally from working on policy matters related to financial markets, fiscal policy, monetary policy and/or economics.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders (internal and external) with a view to building long term relationships.
  • DBS and SC candidates are preferred.
