We have a current opportunity for a Clerk of Works ( Buildings ) on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Dundee.
The Clerk of Works (Building) plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful on-site delivery of strategic, capital, and infrastructure projects within the Estates and Campus Directorate. This role is responsible for verifying that all construction-related activities comply with industry standards, legislation, project specifications, and best practices.
Reporting to the Head of Projects and working closely with Project Managers, the Clerk of Works (Building) safeguards the quality and integrity of capital projects throughout the construction process. The role supports the execution of multiple projects that align with the University’s strategic objectives and stakeholder needs.
This position requires extensive experience in the construction industry, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset. The post holder will work across various university sites in Dundee.
The primary objectives are to inspect construction works, ensuring they meet all relevant standards, and to support Project Managers in maintaining the highest quality control across all projects.
