Morgan Hunt is working with a fantastic college in the Bedfordshire area, together, we are seeking to appoint a talented, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Catering Lecturer to join them.

Job Title – Catering & Hospitality Lecturer

Location – Dunstable

Hours – Part-Time

Start – ASAP – subject to successful interview

Length of contract – Till December 2024 – with the possibility of going permanent

Payrate – £30 – £35 p/h depending on experience

Role Specific –

• Assisting with curriculum design and development.
• Assisting with the production of learning resources.
• Planning, delivering and assessing sessions in catering and hospitality. Ensuring that delivery of instruction remains up to date.
• Being responsible for the supervision of learners in the kitchens and restaurant including commercial restaurant sessions taking place in the Manor House Restaurant.
• Monitoring the progress of learners and carrying out competence-based assessment and/or assessment to standard formats. Monitoring and report learners’ progress.
• Carrying out first-line supervision and discipline of learners.

Experience/Qualifications –

• Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a Catering or Hospitality discipline
• Good level of education to include maths and English to GCSE (Grade A – C) or equivalent (level 2)
• Good practical experience of recent industrial/commercial employment
• Demonstrable knowledge of Equality and Diversity
• Experience and skills of training and demonstrating
• Good organisational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work evenings as required to support in commercial restaurant sessions
• Hold a driving licence
