Duties and responsibilities
Our client are on the look out for an ambitious and enthusiastic bookkeeper to join their growing team. You will be carrying out a range of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to;

  • Bookkeeping duties for a range of clients, mainly using Xero although experience of Sage and QuickBooks would be useful
  • Assisting clients with bookkeeping and software queries
  • Liaising with clients to ensure all records can be completed and VAT Returns filed within their deadline
  • Managing VAT Returns
  • Bookkeeping to trial balance including bank reconciliations, prepayments and accruals etc.
  • Preparing appropriate schedules and reports as required
  • Completing and filing VAT
  • Ensuring all client work is completed within applicable timescales

Qualifications and skills required
Our client are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and high work ethic with previous well rounded bookkeeping experience within a practice environment who is confident working independently and working in a team. High organisational skills with intermediate to advanced level skills on Excel and great communication skills is required. Good VAT knowledge and cloud bookkeeping software knowledge is also favourable.
