Audit & Risk Committee Vacancies

Are you a qualified finance professional with experience working in industry or are you an expert in audit?

 

We currently have two upcoming vacancies as a result of 2 members coming to the end of their second terms on the RYA’s Audit & Risk Committee. The committee is responsible for monitoring the operation of the Association’s financial control processes and its management of risk.

 

Reporting to the Board of Directors the committee oversees the relationship with the RYA’s external auditors, and its members provide independent advice and guidance to RYA staff.

 

The committee meets three times each year either virtually or in London or Hamble and issues an annual report to the Board, which give details of its activities and findings. Independent committee members are appointed initially for a 3-year term.

 

Some knowledge of the RYA and its ways of working would be beneficial, but not essential. This is a non-remunerated role, but basic travel expenses are paid.
