Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Client Portfolio Management – Take full ownership of your own client portfolio, ensuring audits are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Lead and Manage Audits – Lead audits from planning through to completion, managing a team of juniors and providing technical expertise.
  • Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong client relationships, becoming the first point of contact for day-to-day queries, and providing high-quality client service.
  • Staff Development – Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their technical development and career progression.
  • Partner Collaboration – Work closely with partners on complex client matters, preparing reports, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Review & Quality Control – Review the work of junior staff and ensure compliance with firm procedures, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Business Development – Contribute to the firm’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, assisting with tenders, and supporting partner-led initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement – Stay up to date with industry developments and changes in legislation, ensuring the firm’s services remain innovative and best-in-class.

Skills & Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (or close to completing).
  • Experience in a UK-based audit environment, with a solid understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards.
  • Strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage both clients and teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, with a drive to take ownership and deliver high-quality results.
