This post has arisen following the retirement of the current postholder. The Associate Director (Finance) is one of three Associate Directors reporting to the Director of Finance, Estates & Facilities and is responsible for all areas of financial planning and management along with payroll and procurement. The role also supports the Director in the preparation of annual statutory accounts, financial capital planning, internal audit management and risk management.

As Associate Director (Finance), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the College, contributing to its financial strategy, financial planning and long term success.

Who are we looking for?

– You will be a Finance professional (CIPFA/CIMA/FCA/ACA/ACCA) with experience of operating at a senior level.
– A wide and extensive experience of budgetary and financial management within a Further Education/Public Sector setting is desirable.
– You will have experience of working with, and influencing, senior management
– A good understanding of the current Further Education sector, including funding rules and environment, is desirable.
– You will have the strength and quality of leadership and personal skills required to develop and lead an effective and motivated team.
– You will be able to think strategically and provide innovative solutions to complex issues, with a proven ability to quickly grasp and respond          to a complex and changing environment.
– You will be commercially astute in the development and delivery of the College’s objectives.
